Minikin treble helps Knights see off Jamaica

20th October 2019, 19:12 by Craig Smithson

England Knights defeated Jamaica 38-6 at Headingley on Sunday with Greg Minikin grabbing a hat-trick.

The 24-year-old recently joined Hull KR on a two-year deal from Castleford Tigers scored his three tries in the opening 20 minutes in Leeds as the hosts made a flying start.

Tom Lineham and Toby King also crossed with the Knights boasting a 28-0 lead at the interval.

The Reggae Warriors hit back early in the second half as Mason Caton-Brown stretched over for a try, which was converted by James Woodburn-Hall.

However, Lineham grabbed his second try of the afternoon, before Joe Greenwood rounded off the scoring for England.

New Castleford signing Danny Richardson added to the scoreline as he successfully converted each of the opening four tries from wide out.
