Missed duo to return for Rhinos
Leeds Rhinos have missed the experience of both Jamie Jones-Buchanan and Carl Ablett, according to coach Dave Furner.
The Rhinos have not started the season with any kind of form, losing all but one of their Super League games to date but, as they prepare to entertain London Broncos, the return of the duo should help.
Ablett has been out following ankle surgery, while illness and fitness issues have prevented veteran forward Jones-Buchanan from playing, and Furner hopes they can help on Friday.
Furner told the Yorkshire Post: “At times we’ve missed some of that experience. They’ve had a good week and, hopefully, they pull through but I’ve not finalised the squad yet.
“We’re a team that’s had some really good games and put ourselves in a position to win – or get back in it – and then probably just not nailed those moments.
“Collectively, as a group, we’ve talked about those times and what we need to do. It’s not been our starts. We’ve been very positive on our starts.
"We just need to maintain it and it’s a little bit of that experience we need to make sure we get through those periods or moments in the game.”
