Morgan makes Broncos loan switch
St Helens have allowed centre Ryan Morgan to join Super League new boys London Broncos for the 2019 season.
The 28-year-old Australian, who joined Saints from Melbourne Storm in 2017 and has scored 24 tries in 49 appearances, was set to slip down the pecking order at Langtree Park next season following the arrival of Fiji captain Kevin Naiqama from Wests Tigers.
As a result, the club have agreed to let Morgan move to London Broncos as they look to bolster their squad after making a return to the Super League courtesy of their victory against Toronto Wolfpack in the Million Pound Game.
"We have a lot of competition for places in the squad and therefore we felt it was best for the club and Ryan if he went out on loan," Saints CEO Mike Rush said. "Ryan is too good a player not to be playing regularly and will be a great fit at the London Broncos.
"With Mark Percival and Kevin Naiqama being our starting centres, and Ryan needing to play week in week out, we felt the move was best of both parties.
"We thank London and Danny Ward for their help in making his move happen and we wish Ryan nothing but the best for 2019."
