Mulhern ready to push on
Hull KR star Robbie Mulhern believes he can take his game to another level in 2020, as long as he enjoys a full pre-season campaign.
The former Leeds Rhinos ace has failed to kick on since he was named in the England Knights squad in 2018. Mulhern represented his country in Papua New Guinea, but the gruelling campaign caused him to pick up several injuries in 2019.
He missed plenty of pre-season 12 months ago, but the 25-year-old has vowed not to make the same mistakes as he tries to help Tony Smith's men compete for a spot in the play-offs.
Mulhern told Hull Live: "Last year I came back the week before Christmas, trained that week and then had a break and then straight into January so I didn't have a pre-season.
"I think it made a big difference when we got into the season. I was a bit sluggish at the start of last season.
"It was a tough year with all the injuries. We had some very tough times, but last year is behind us now, and we've just got to focus on next year and making sure we all stay as fit as we can.
"I know there's going to be injuries, but it's how we deal with them. Hopefully, we won't be as unlucky as we have been the past couple of years."
