No NRL approach for winger
Justin Holbrook says St Helens have not been contacted by anyone representing an NRL club over a move for Tommy Makinson.
The Golden Boot winner was outstanding for England in their recent series win over New Zealand and his efforts for St Helens as they won the League leaders shield last season have not gone unnoticed.
Reports at the weekend claimed the winger had been spotted in Australia and was said to be a target for Newcastle Knights - coached by ex-St Helens boss Nathan Brown.
Holbrook, though, says he has heard nothing, and said: ''I haven't seen the stories but no one has come knocking on my door from the NRL concerning Tommy.
"I know he has been on holiday Down Under but I am expecting him to return to training next week like the rest of our England players."
