NRL forward joins Hull FC
Hull FC have announced they have won the race to sign Andre Savelio from Brisbane Broncos.
The Black and Whites have been tracking the 23-year-old forward for some time, but have finally landed their man after he penned a three-year-deal to take him through to the end of the 2021 season.
The former St Helens and Warrington youngster spent the 2018 campaign in Queensland but was keen to return to England and jumped at the chance to sign for Hull.
Savelio can play back row or through the middle and cannot wait to get started, once he passes a routine medical with the club.
“I’m really excited for this new challenge, coming back to a competition that I know well and get back on my feet again,” he said. “I’m looking forward to finding that love for the sport again.
“Hull are a big club so I’m really grateful for the opportunity. FC were keen from the get-go - they laid out their intentions.
“I first spoke to the Broncos about moving home about 10 days ago, then on following Wednesday I had a chat with my agent before Hull came in with an offer the day after.
“I spoke with Lee (Radford) - I didn’t really know him before he made the phone-call but he is a coach I’ve always had respect for. The plans that he laid out on the phone sounded like they suited me perfectly."
