NRL is tempting for Williams
Wigan Warriors half back George Williams admits he would be open to a move to the NRL in the future.
The England international has been in fine form for Shaun Wane’s men this season and has been linked with a move Down Under, with Newcastle Knights reportedly interested in singing the stand off.
Several England players have made the move in recent years and more are set to join, such as Leeds Rhinos winger Ryan Hall, who will join Sydney Roosters.
And Williams admits a move to any NRL side is a "dream" scenario, despite Warriors owner Ian Lenegan saying they club will not part with any of their star assets.
In an interview with NRL.com Williams said: "If there was an opportunity that came up, that was more than just interest, I would like to pursue that.
“I would have to come to an agreement with Wigan and maybe that is not what they want but it is my dream so if there is an opportunity I want to do it.
"It is something I have always dreamt to do so I definitely want to give it a go if there is a chance
"Wigan would have to agree but if the NRL was an opportunity for me I would love to move to Australia to take that up."
