Radford happy with pre-season
Hull FC coach Lee Radford says he is delighted with the effort and application shown by his players since returning for pre-season.
The Black & Whites had a disappointing 2018 to say the least and Radford says it is important to get a good pre-season under their belts as they look to right the wrongs of the last campaign.
The majority of the squad returned to training on November 5, and Radford says he is pleased with what he has seen so far as they build up to the opening fixture of the season against Hull KR.
“They’ve been really good so far," he told the club's website. "We’re into week four now - a week of pre-season which is notorious for jading one of two bodies.
"So making sure the effort that we’ve seen in the first few weeks continues now is really crucial.
“We haven’t spoke about last season. We did all that while we were in the quagmire. The main thing we’ve been discussing is about making sure our effort and application is on song, and to date it has been.”
