Ratchford ready for Challenge Cup test
Warrington's Stefan Ratchford says his side will be ready for the Challenge Cup final thanks to their upcoming Super League matches.
The Wire booked their place at Wembley last weekend after they beat Hull FC and they will face Super League leaders St Helens after they battled past Halifax.
This month's final will give coaches Steve Price and Justin Holbrook the chance to win their first trophies in England but Ratchford is not worried by the next few weeks.
While Warrington may have one eye on Wembley, they will get the chance to do some research on St Helens when they play each other on August 9. They also take on Catalans Dragons and Wigan Warriors, and Ratchford believes his side will become a better team for the experience.
He told the Warrington Guardian: "After a tough game like the semi-final, going into the next matches against Catalans, St Helens and Wigan is going to be a tough test for us.
"It will probably bode us well in terms of what we've got to face over the next few weeks. It will send us into the final battle-hardened, certainly. We can't take it easy for three weeks and hope to peak at Wembley.
"We've got to win these next three games to hopefully put a bit of space between ourselves and Hull, who are only two points behind us."
