Versatile back facing lengthy lay-off
Catalans Dragons back David Mead has been ruled out of action for at least two months, the club have confirmed.
The Super League outfit announced on Monday that winger Jodie Broughton faces a "long lay-off" after undergoing surgery on a biceps injury.
Mead is the latest player to be ruled out for a lengthy period after being stretchered off in Thursday's 22-12 defeat by Wakefield Trinity.
The club say the 30-year-old will miss "around eight to 10 weeks" after scans revealed he has suffered an adductor tendon injury.
Dragons won the Challenge Cup in 2018 but they have made a slow start to 2019, winning just one of their three league engagements.
