Ward calls for Broncos resonse
London Broncos were thrashed 58-28 by Salford Red Devils on Sunday and head coach Danny Ward has demanded for a response.
The Broncos were well beaten at home by play-off chasers Salford and they now sit two points adrift at the foot of the Super League table after Hull KR overcame Castleford Tigers, while Leeds Rhinos downed Huddersfield on Friday night.
Ward says his players have been left "embarrassed" and hurt by the manner of the defeat, but he stressed they must recover quickly as London continue their battle against the drop.
"Yes I let them know how I felt after that performance and if they had nothing constructive to add it was best to stay quiet," he told the club's website.
"They are embarrassed and hurting in the dressing room but we need to get over this and focus on Castleford next week."
The Broncos sit bottom of the table with 16 points, two adrift of the Robins, the Giants, Wakefield Trinity and Leeds.
