Williams in Warriors warning
George Williams says it is vital Wigan are not caught star gazing when they face the Sydney Roosters this weekend.
The two clubs go head to head on Sunday in the World Club Challenge at the DW Stadium, with last season's Grand Final winners flying the flag for the Super League.
England international Williams, who was in the side which beat Cronulla in 2017, says it is vital Wigan's players do not become overawed by the big names on pitch, with superstar Cooper Cronk the biggest of all.
"I appreciate how good they are and what they've done in the game," Williams told BBC Sport. "As players you want to test yourself against the best and see where you're at.
"Cooper Cronk is proven world class and has won pretty much everything there is to win in the game, and it will be nice to go up against him.
"But we can't show them too much respect. We still have to knuckle down and get on with our jobs, no matter how good they are."
