Wire forward ruled out for four months
Warrington coach Steve Price has revealed forward Luis Johnson faces around four months on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.
The 21-year-old Leeds-born second-row picked up the problem in a reserves game against Widnes and has now been ruled out until late July at the earliest.
"Luis came off with a hamstring injury in the reserve-grade game against Widnes," said Price, as reported by the Warrington Guardian.
"He got it scanned and it showed up a little bit worse than we thought.
"It's an injury that's very similar to Matty Ashton's so it's going to be at least four months for him.
"It's not great for the kid, but he'll work his backside off to get right and show us the kind of player he wants to be."
Johnson, who has previously spent time at Rochdale, Widnes and Hull KR on loan, has featured twice as a substitute for the Wire this season.
