Wire lose Brown for 2019 - Reports
Warrington half-back Kevin Brown will miss the rest of the season with an Achilles injury, according to reports in the English media.
The 34-year-old was expected to be a key member of Steve Price's side but he suffered an injury in training on Saturday.
Reports in the Warrington Guardian suggest Brown has ruptured his Achilles tendon and is now set to miss the majority of the 2019 season.
Warrington may now be forced to ask the RFL for salary cap dispensation from the RFL – as Castleford did when Luke Gale suffered a serious injury.
Reports claim Warrington will wait until Monday before releasing a statement, but it now leaves them light in the half-back department ahead of their first game against Leeds Rhinos.
