Cheika puts faith in uncapped teenager
Uncapped teenage back Jordan Petaia has been handed a place in Michael Cheika's final World Cup squad.
The 19-year-old has impressed Cheika during his time with Queensland Reds, having only made his Super Rugby debut against the Brumbies in April 2018.
Cheika clearly feels he is a star of the future and has gambled on taking him to the World Cup which gets underway in Japan next month.
David Pocock, who hasn't represented Australia since November 2018 due to a calf injury, has also made the cut.
Flanker Michael Hooper will captain the Wallabies who boast a squad with a total of 1,406 caps.
Cheika said: "I'm confident.
"We'll be a little bit unpredictable, that's been a little bit of our theme this year, if we don't know what we're doing no one will know what we're doing."
