Cipriani misses out on England camp
Gloucester ace Danny Cipriani has failed to earn a place in England’s training camp in Treviso, Italy.
England head coach Eddie Jones named the number 10 in the official World Cup squad earlier this month but he has not been selected for the trip to Italy.
Jones is taking a 38-man group to Treviso for a 12-day camp and Cipriani's omission does not bode well for his chances of earning a spot in the final 31-man World Cup squad.
The RFU say Cipriani will continue to stick to an England programme until the World Cup squad is named on August 12.
Jones said: "We have left some good players doing work at their clubs and they must be ready if called up."
Harlequins full-back Mike Brown is heading to Italy along with club team-mate Joe Marchant but Exeter prop Ben Moon is not in the squad.
Mako Vunipola, George Kruis and Jack Nowell, who were injury doubts, have all been selected.
