England duo in race to face Azzurri
Maro Itoje and Jack Nowell face a battle to make England's Six Nations clash with Italy on Saturday as they recover from injury.
Itoje has suffered a recurrence of the knee injury that has seen him sit out the last two matches, while Nowell picked up a shoulder injury in the 21-13 defeat against Wales last time out.
Head coach Eddie Jones will assess the duo in the build up to the Twickenham clash before making a decision later in the week.
Meanwhile, scrum-half Dan Robson is being tipped to make his first Test start against Italy after being an unused replacement against both Ireland and Wales.
"It's about not trying too hard. I've just got to go out there and do what I have been doing," he told BBC Sport.
"My form has got me into this position, and I've got to back myself with that, and have the confidence that that is good enough.
"It's about going out there and playing my game, really enjoying it, and taking it all in."
Elsehwere, Jones is expected to name lock Charlie Ewels and uncapped wing Ollie Thorley as cover in a 27-man squad ahead of the meeting with the Azzurri.
