Fagerson pens Warriors deal
Scotland prop Zander Fagerson has revealed his delight after penning a new three-year deal with Glasgow Warriors.
The 22-year-old is currently on the sidelines with an ankle injury but that has not stopped the club securing his future, with the new deal set to run until 2022.
The Warriors have been busy signing up a host of players to new deals over the last two weeks and Fagerson revealed there was no hesitation on his part.
“I’m so happy to be staying at Glasgow Warriors. The club means a lot to me, so to be able to stay for at least another three years is a huge honour," he said.
“I love playing at Scotstoun and I believe I can achieve everything I want to achieve in the game here at the Warriors.”
Glasgow coach Dave Rennie is also delighted and believes the best is yet to come.
“Zander’s a good man and a terrific prop,” he said. “He is physical and mobile and at only 22, I believe he’ll continue to develop in our environment. We’re thrilled that he has committed his long-term future to the club.”
