More to come from England – Farrell

24th August 2019, 17:39 by Bobbie Jackson

Captain Owen Farrell says there is still a lot more to come from England after claiming a convincing win over Ireland.

The Red Rose bounced back from last weekend's 13-6 defeat to Wales to make a huge statement ahead of next month's World Cup.

Eddie Jones watched on with glee as his side ran in eight tries at Twickenham to earn their largest winning margin against Ireland.

Ireland did register first when Jordan Larmour broke clear but England held a 12-point lead by the break courtesy of tries from Joe Cokanasiga, Elliot Daly and Manu Tuilagi.

The home side continued to press on with Maro Itoje, George Kruis, Tom Curry, Cokanasiga and Luke Cowan-Dickie enhancing the tally.

Farrell told Sky Sports: "We are still building. There is a lot left in us and we are still looking forward to playing our best rugby. It was definitely fun. I love it every time I put this jersey on. We are building. The most exciting thing is that we have our best rugby ahead of us."
