Solomons delighted with Sale scalp
Director of rugby Alan Solomons was pleased with Worcester's response as they beat Sale 39-17.
Josh Adams was the Warriors' hero with a hat-trick as they moved seven points clear of the drop zone in the race for Premiership survival.
It was Worcester's third win in four top-flight matches, with Sam Lewis and Chris Pennell touching down for the hosts at Sixways Stadium, while Josh Beaumont scored for Sale.
Worcester led 17-7 at the break, and although Matt Postlethwaite came off the bench to score Sale's second try after the break, the half belonged to Adams.
The Wales winger crossed the whitewash three times to earn his side a bonus-point victory even though they had Bryce Heem yellow carded.
Solomons was delighted and confessed that he sensed there might be a reaction from last week's loss to Wasps.
"We knew we'd let ourselves down against Wasps last week and I knew we'd play well, from the moment we turned up to training on Monday," he told BBC Hereford & Worcester.
"I've always said that, if we can play to the best of our ability, we're a match for anyone in this league and we were in the right frame of mind right from the off."
