Taufua eager to get going with Tigers
Crusaders back row Jordan Taufua says he is "excited" to embark on a new challenge with Leicester Tigers.
The 27-year-old confirmed the deal had been completed on Friday but won’t officially make the move until next season.
Taufua is yet to be capped by New Zealand but did feature for the Barbarians against the British and Irish Lions in 2017.
"I am very excited to be joining the Leicester Tigers after the Rugby World Cup this year," Taufua told Leicester’s official website.
"I see a lot of similarities between the Tigers and the Crusaders, and I am fully bought into the vision that Geordan Murphy and his staff have for the team."
Meanwhile, Leicester have also announced that forward Graham Kitchener will be re-joining Worcester Warriors for the 2019-20 campaign.
Head coach Murphy said: "Jordan is a very physical and powerful player schooled in the best traditions of back row play in New Zealand.
"He has extensive experience in Super Rugby with the Crusaders and we look forward to welcoming him to Welford Road in the new season."
