Wasps boosted as five sign up
New Zealand born fly-half Jimmy Gopperth is one of five players to have committed his future to Wasps by penning a new deal.
Gopperth has been out of action since suffering an anterior cruciate ligament injury back in August, but that has not stopped Wasps from securing the 35-year-old's future.
Tommy Taylor and Ashley Johnson, along with props Simon McIntyre and Ben Harris are the other players to have signed contract extensions, much to the delight of director of rugby Dai Young.
Young believes their experience will be crucial with the development of the younger players as they move into the future.
"With five experienced players penning new deals it sends out a really positive message to some of our younger players," Young said.
"Both Jimmy and Ashley are fantastic athletes who give absolutely everything. Their experience across the board is crucial, not only in matches, but in helping develop some of our younger players.
"Si, Tommy and Ben have all been tremendous performers in the front row in recent seasons."
