Youngs set for lengthy lay-off
England scrum-half Ben Youngs won't feature again this season due to a shoulder injury, Leicester Tigers have confirmed.
The 29-year-old sustained the injury to his shoulder during England's Six Nations campaign and has been absent over the last few weeks.
He did turn out for England in each of their games in the 2019 competition but those exploits have come at a huge price.
Youngs was forced to undergo surgery on the issue this week and the Gallagher Premiership club, who currently sit 10th, have confirmed his season is finished.
Leicester said in a statement: "Leicester Tigers and England scrum-half Ben Youngs has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2018/19 Gallagher Premiership season with a shoulder injury.
"Tigers head coach Geordan Murphy has confirmed he will be unavailable for the remaining five fixtures of the Premiership campaign."
