Celtic set up £3m deal for Tierney replacement

2nd July 2019, 15:10 by Simon Barlow

Celtic are reportedly set to complete the £3million signing of Rapid Vienna left-back Boli Bolingoli - Romelu Lukaku's cousin.

Sky Sport Austria claim the deal to take the 24-year-old to Glasgow is close but Rapid are refusing to comment on the reports.

Bolingoli, who has also been linked to Burnley, was a crowd favourite with the Austrian club, where he made 28 Bundesliga appearances last term and scored two goals. to sell.

Prior to that, the Belgian gained valuable Champions League experience while at Club Brugge before Rapid signed him for a fee of 900,000 euros.

Celtic fans will be left wondering of Bolingoli's arrival will herald the end of Kieran Tierney's time with the club.

Arsenal have been showing great interest in the Celtic left-back and a bid of £20million could secure his signature.
