New Murray footage increases comeback talk
Footage of Andy Murray practising on the court at Wimbledon on Friday has further boosted talk of him making a future comeback.
The 31-year-old former British and world number one underwent a hip resurfacing operation after his Australian Open appearance in January. Murray admitted at the time the surgery was ultimately to improve his quality of life and being able to continue his career in tennis would be an added bonus.
The three-time Grand Slam winner and two-time Olympic champion has taken steps towards a return in recent weeks and posted a story on his Instagram account showing him on a court hitting balls again.
And Murray was again filmed on the green clay-court at the All England Club enjoying some practice shots alongside Estonian Anett Kontaveit and GB junior Emma Raducanu.
The Scot previously stated that his chances of playing at Wimbledon was below 50%, but the sight of him hitting a ball around a court will no doubt give hope that he will be involved in June.
