Mitrovic linked with Bundesliga switch
Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic continues to be linked with a move away from the club with Bayer Leverkusen set to enter the race.
Serbia international Mitrovic was a shining light in an otherwise disappointing season for Fulham, as he scored 11 Premier League goals but was unable to prevent the Cottagers from suffering an immediate relegation back to the Championship.
Mitrovic is unlikely to remain with Scott Parker's side in the second tier and he has been linked with a whole host of clubs, including the likes of West Ham and Fenerbahce, although Bundesliga giants Leverkusen now also appear to have entered the race.
Leverkusen are in the market for a new striker and Mitrovic would appear to fit the bill, although he is not the only forward being linked with a move to the BayArena, with Watford attacker Dodi Lukebakio also said to be on their wishlist.
Fulham paid Newcastle a reported £22million to secure the services of Mitrovic last summer following a successful loan spell and it appears a similar bid would be enough to convince the Cottagers to cash-in on the 24-year-old, as they aim to lower their wage bill ahead of their return to the Championship.
