Verstappen enjoying the Red Bull life

18th January 2020, 20:06 by Neil Foster

Max Verstappen feels there is a great team spirit at Red Bull which, he hopes, will bring the Formula 1 title back to the team.

Red Bull won four consecutive F1 crowns from 2010 to 2013, with Sebastian Vettel dominating for the Milton Keynes-based marque.

However, it has been Mercedes that have held sway since the hybrid era began, with Lewis Hamilton winning five titles and Nico Rosberg the other for the Silver Arrows.

Red Bull and Ferrari are the only teams to contend with Mercedes but are still way off the pace at the moment.

That may all change when new rules come in but Verstappen seems upbeat about the future.

"It's just very nice to be in the team, it is really enjoyable, a lot of fun, which I think is also important in the team," he told Motorsport.com. "Everybody gets along very well with each other. And we all want to win, we have the winners' mentality.

"Everybody at the track and back at the factory, they are also motivated to show everyone that we can get back to those winning days of Red Bull dominating. We just want to try and recreate that."
