Hazard ready for City final test
Chelsea star Eden Hazard is looking forward to coming up against defending champions Manchester City in the EFL Cup final.
Hazard played a key role for the Blues on Thursday as they overcame Spurs on penalties in the last four to book a place in the final.
The Belgian scored Chelsea's second goal in the 2-1 win, as Maurizio Sarri's side went on to win 4-2 in the shootout.
The Stamford Bridge side will face holders and Premier League champions City in the final at Wembley on February 24 and Hazard is convinced they can lift the trophy.
"It will be hard," he said. "They are the best team with Liverpool at the moment in the Premier League.
"They have won a lot of trophies in the last five years, but we also have a great team so it’s a 50-50 game."
Sarri said Hazard was "not a leader" in the build-up to the match and the forward moved to play down the manager's comments.
"I just play my football," he said. "It doesn’t matter what the manager said. I’m always focused on this team, I just want to do the best for this team, and I did so I am happy."
