Tangata - Let's focus on ourselves

11th September 2019, 13:53 by Tom Hill

Wakefield prop Adam Tangata has urged his side to focus on their own fortunes as they prepare to face London Broncos on Friday.

Chris Chester's side are in danger of being relegated this season after losing 10 of their last 12 matches.

A win on Friday will keep them in the top flight, but they can still survive even if London get the upper hand.

Defeats for Huddersfield Giants or Hull KR would also ensure they stay in the top flight but Tangata has urged his side to focus on their own fortunes at the Wakefield Trinity Stadium.

"It is at home for us and we would rather take a game into our hands, rather than let other people dictate what goes on with our season," he told the Wakefield Press.

"With where we stand in the table, this week is going to be a really good game.

"We would rather just worry about us and control what we can control, than waiting on other results. It would have been nice [for Hull KR to beat London], but we go again and know it's in our hands."
